join the Crown Food Business Unit. /n/n Location: /n/n Ideal
candidate will reside near a major airport in the Midwest and/or
Eastern Region of the US as this position will require up to 70%
regular travel to the Plant locations. /n/n Position Overview: /n/n
The Manufacturing Engineering (with an Electrical Engineering
emphasis) will support eight (8) facilities of the North American
Food Division manufacturing operations. This position will work
closely with the manufacturing facilities in regard to electrical
programming, problem solving, etc. for both the 3-Piece and 2-Piece
steel and aluminum food cans and end processes. /n/n Duties And
Responsibilities: /n/n Reporting directly to the Sr Manager
Production Engineering (Electrical) duties would include but not be
limited to the following: /n/n /n/t - Providing problem-solving on
electrical technical matters relating to food can and end
performance /n/t - Developing full documentation package of new and
existing installations /n/t - Continued support of new
installations and plants until production efficiencies and goals
are met /n/t - Support plants and personnel as required to identify
production problems or issues, identify viable solutions and
implement the same /n/t - Develop job completion schedules and
monitor their progress /n/t - Guide, support and train plant
electrical teams /n /n/n Qualifications: /n/n In addition to the
specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will
possess the following: /n/n Minimum Requirements /n/n /n/t - BS
degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related
discipline /n/t - 5 years in a packaging manufacturing environment,
food production or a similar industry. /n/t - Strong technical
knowledge demonstrating broad understanding of electrical power and
controls design and installation /n/t - Demonstrated experience in
PLC logic programming, documentation, and troubleshooting control
programs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, etc.) /n/t - Experience
with facilities power distribution (including voltages to 600v &
three phase) and control systems and subsystems /n/t - Power
transmission equipment such as gearboxes, drive trains, conveying
equipment, etc. /n/t - Proven record of delivering engineering
outputs to achieve scheduled targets /n/t - Effective communication
skills are needed for this role, both verbal and written as well as
the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the
organization. /n/t - Self-motivated and eager to take the
initiative; with the ability to work effectively in a team setting
and as an individual /n/t - Well organized and detail oriented with
good time management skills /n/t - Strong PC skills are a must,
especially using Word, Outlook, and Excel. /n/t - Committed to
on-going personal development and career growth /n /n/n Preferred
Requirements /n/n /n/t - Steel and/or aluminum manufacturing
environment experience would be ideal /n/t - A certification in Six
Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing would be a plus /n /n/n Physical
Requirements /n/n /n/t - While performing the duties of this job,
the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands,
reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop,
kneel, crouch, or crawl /n/t - The associate may lift and/or move
up to 50 pounds /n/t - Specific vision abilities required by this
job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability
to adjust focus /n /n/n Working Conditions /n/n /n/t - Will be
required to perform job duties outside of the typical office
