Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe District Manager is responsible for identifying, prospecting and securing business opportunities to support new revenue growth for a specific geographic area. This includes overall responsibility for:1) developing and implementing sales strategies for new account prospects, active and inactive client accounts,2) working with field management to plan, conduct and follow up on sales activities,3) achieving profit results in assigned areas consistent with predetermined forecasts/expectations, and4) must maintain 4000-5000 billable hours per branch and show steady week over week growthPRIMARY FUNCTIONSDevelop account sales plans/approaches with Vice President on a minimum of 30 target accountsIdentify prospects and develop sales strategies to secure new business. This may include sales calls, competitive analysis, coordination of presentations and proposals, in-office demonstrations, direct mail campaigns, and follow up activityConduct prospect, active and inactive account sales calls independently and jointly with branch office staff and management as prioritized by ManagerFunctions as lead and primary sales resource on identified target accounts and is responsible for creating the account planResponsible for coordinating the approach and communication strategy of new and reactivated client accounts to responsible branch office(s)Provides additional sales expertise and partners with branch staff as a dedicated sales resource to enhance sales efforts through engaging in specific action plans, presentations, activities and techniques both personally and consultatively to secure businessDevelops strategic solution-oriented sales plans to increase business within key accounts and partners with branch office staff to implementSells strategic product and service offerings/solutions and negotiates pricing strategy with assistance of Vice PresidentPartners with branch office and Headquarters staff to enhance/supplement product knowledge needed to close the sale as well as implement the product solutionSupport driving sales closure to shorten sales cycle and ensure sales goals and objectives are metAnalyze prospect requirements and needs to understand how Company products and services can be applied to meet these needs and resolve problemsEstablish contacts in the business community including active participation in local networking events to increase brand recognition and awarenessAssist in the creation of developing new business proposals, marketing materials and presentations as neededRecord all business and sales activity in Company database as well as complete required activity reportRespond quickly to all customer and prospect inquiries and needsAll other duties that may arise to ensure the successful operation of the companyQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework or equivalent business experience preferredAt least 3 years proven outside direct sales experience with focus in consultative and solution-oriented sales approaches.Ability to access areas where needed people, information or equipment are locatedAbility to understand and accurately apply basic math skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and InternetAbility to make competent use of work related equipment and materialsAbility to remember information (e.g., policies, procedures) or locate resources to find information as neededAbility to travel to various locations (e.g., customer sites, other company offices) as neededAbility to communicate effectively and tactfully with othersAbility to work with other team members as well as independentlyAbility to shift back and forth between two or more tasksCooperative, team-oriented, patient, calm under pressureAbility to arrange things in certain order (e.g., alphabetically, numerically)Ability to produce results within an autonomous environment, within company guidelines and have the flexibility to identify and respond to changes in prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to provide excellent customer service to all clientsAbility to advise, counsel, guide and influence the opinions and decisions ofAbility to analyze and evaluate people, data and things to determine courses of actionPrevious business development experience including developing sales strategies, conducting cold calls, making sales presentations, closing techniques and developing service and pricing proposalsAbility to demonstrate success working in a fast-paced, highly competitive, deadline-oriented environmentSelf-motivated with exhibited sense of urgency in all sales and service related activityExceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills.
