treatment. - - - -The H70 Orthopedic Unit specializes in
osteoarthritis and performs many types of surgeries and procedures,
including total hip/knee/shoulder arthroplasties, hip/knee/shoulder
revisions and sarcoma resections. As an RN Resident on this team,
you will assist fellow nurses in delivering this exceptional
treatment experience. In this role, you will interact directly with
patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to help
each person feel supported in some of their most vulnerable times.
Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many
professional development resources, including furthering education
and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. - -A caregiver
in this position works rotating days/nights from 7:00AM - 7:30PM or
7:00PM - 7:30AM, with every other weekend and holiday
requirements.A caregiver who excels in this role will: -
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual
learning needs. -
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach. -
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of
need, patient preference and resource availability). -
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and
initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk. -
- Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to
perform safely and independently. -
- Document in patients' medical records. -Minimum qualifications
for the ideal future caregiver include: -
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing

- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) -
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American
Heart Association (AHA) -
- New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
-Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) -Our caregivers continue

- Requires full range of body motion including handling and
lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand
coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of
time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular
hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than
negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move
objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light
Work.Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective
