Job Description:
MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist/Office
Administrator to join our Human Resources Team! In this position,
the HR Generalist will provide Human Resources and office
administration support to our Warren facility. Support will include
everything from recruiting to onboarding, employee relations,
training, performance management, open enrollment coordination, and
employment terminations. This position will also support office
administration and corporate event facilitation. This position will
support and receive support from Corporate Human Resources and will
report to the Director of Human Resources. Essential Duties: Human
Resources: Assist in developing job specifications, duties,
qualifications, and skills to draft new job descriptions and review
and edit existing ones utilizing the standard corporate job
description format. Maintain (and enhance) the MMI Engineered
Solutions career site and job postings for your assigned facility
and assist with other locations as needed. Assist in screening
applications; interviewing; obtaining work history, education,
salary requirements, reference & background checks; and applicable
assessments of applicants. Follow the corporate recruitment process
to ensure compliance with all processes, procedures, and government
laws/regulations. Facilitate the selection process by supporting
hiring managers throughout the recruiting process, including but
not limited to screening applications; interviewing; obtaining work
history, education, salary requirements, reference & background
checks; and assessments as applicable. Oversee the
onboarding/orientation of all new hires (direct and contract) at
your assigned facility to ensure understanding of company
expectations (policies, benefits, safety, sexual harassment, etc.)
and ensure all new hires have relevant and effective training
plans. Follow corporate orientation presentations, with
modifications for site-specific safety, etc. Support benefit
enrollment for new hires and annual open enrollment meetings for
your site. Provide site support in employee relations, FMLA, ADA,
and OSHA recordkeeping. Facilitate corrective actions in alignment
with company policy and ensure all adverse actions are escalated to
the Director of HR for review before taking any action. Oversee all
stay and exit interviews for your site, following corporate
guidelines. Oversee performance management for your assigned site,
ensuring timely completion of all performance reviews and data
submission to corporate. Ensure annual hourly wage reviews are
completed and submitted to corporate for approval. Retain all site
employee records electronically while ensuring employee
confidentiality and maintaining compliance with all regulatory
requirements in accordance with company policy and/or practice.
Report, track, and analyze trends in site safety, direct/indirect
FTEs, turnover, and absenteeism, and regularly report in HR staff
meetings. Provide backup assistance in timekeeping & attendance
programs. Assist in the administration of the performance review
program. Other duties as assigned to support site or Corporate
Human Resource initiatives. Office Administration: Greet and guide
visitors, customers, suppliers, employees, and applicants. Assist
corporate with the planning and execution of corporate
events/lunches/etc. Maintain office supplies by keeping inventory
and ordering items as required. Coordinate schedules and
appointments of customer visits. Ensure the accuracy of phone
listings for your assigned site. Qualifications Bachelor's degree
in human resources, Business Administration, or Industrial
Relations, or at least five (5) years of human resource generalist
experience Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrated computer skills Proven ability to act with integrity
and handle confidential information in a professional manner
Understanding of Human Resource laws and regulations Knowledge of
employee benefit programs Prior experience utilizing human
resources information systems MMI Engineered Solutions is an
