Job Description:
As a Marine Interdiction Agent with the U.S. Customs and Border
Protection (CBP), you will play a critical role in securing
America's borders along coastlines and maritime environments. This
position involves on-the-water law enforcement activities that are
crucial for homeland security, as well as environmental protection,
and the prevention of illegal smuggling. Agents operate in various
maritime terrains, often collaborating with other federal, state,
and local enforcement agencies to carry out their duties. Operate
patrol boats and tactical equipment to detect, intercept, and deter
terrorists and the illegal entry of individuals into the United
States. Conduct maritime patrols and surveillance operations.
Perform search and rescue missions, ensuring safety of life at sea.
Collect and report intelligence data on suspected smuggling routes
and activities. Apprehend suspects and gather evidence as required
by law and agency protocols. Collaborate with local, state,
federal, and international partners to reinforce security efforts.
Proficiency in navigation and the operation of maritime vessels
Knowledge of maritime laws and regulations Ability to remain calm
and decisive in high-stress situations Strong communication and
teamwork skills Physical fitness and ability to perform in various
