Job Summary

The Final Documents Coordinator is a mid-level position within the Final Documents Department. The Final Documents Coordinator is responsible for the acquisition, validation and timely submission of all required Final Documents to our Investor/Agency Partners.

Summary of Role and Responsibilities

  • Accurately inputs required data in the Final Documents Tracking screen of our Loan Origination System (LOS) and confirms the accuracy of Borrower, Investor and Servicer data printed in pencil on each document
  • Performs strategic validation of key elements of each Recorded Mortgage, Final Title Policy and other Final Documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Records specific details for items requiring correction, submits requests for correction to Settlement Agents or Final Documents Team Lead and monitors correction requests through resolution
  • Monitors Aging and Exception Reports and assists with the timely clearing of outstanding items
  • Sorts and scans validated documents and places documents in line for final review on a bi-weekly basis
  • Uploads scanned documents to our centralized image storage system and/or Investor SFTP sites weekly
  • Special projects, as assigned

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Easy to read handwriting neat, orderly, extending along a straight line
  • Knowledge of Residential Mortgage Final Documents
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities daily, addressing each according to urgency, available time, production needs and departmental directives
  • Ability to positively project the Company and Final Documents Department

Minimum Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • One + years previous experience in a similar role

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Associates degree in business or higher education
  • Two + years previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience within the mortgage industry

Work Environment

Work is performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
