Job Description:

The Board Member will be responsible for adhering to the organization mission, values, vision, and morals, as well as providing strategic leadership, representing the interests of the organization externally, contributing to the organization's strategic fundraising and partnerships, overseeing the organization's core governance systems and providing expertise on key operational processes to ensure increased growth as well as participate in quarterly board meetings.

Known Requirements:
--- Previous experience in research, grant making, HR, or government policy making required
--- Deep commitment to the organization's values and mission required
--- Previous experience in a senior leadership position within a similar organization required
--- Excellent communication and collaboration skills required
--- Significant experience serving on not-for-profit board or sub-committees required
--- Experience working or interacting with women and foster teens transitioning from state care, trauma, and grief
--- Superior leadership skills with an in-depth understanding and commitment to the organization's mission and values required
--- Solid strategic thinking skills with an ability to solve problems strategically and raise funds rapidly required
